Make sure you read the Amazon description of this study guide all the way to the end. It says on the last line that this study guide is meant to be used with the Daniel Prayer DVD . I of course didn't see that, and was expecting it to follow the layout of the book. The description does suggest that this is for a group study, which is accurate. The main thing that I (anyone) will miss by doing the study alone, is the group discussions I was so moved by the book version, (through Amazon Audibles) that I wanted to do this study to work on my own prayer time. It is very in depth and many scriptures to study to support the style of the Daniel Prayer. I highly recommend the study guide, While the DVD may support the study, I am not necessarily missing it while working through the giuide. (Edited)See other's comments below. Very helpful
It was an excellent studay. If I have any criticism, it would be that Anne Graham Lotz speaks so fast that times you can't quite get what she is saying.and you have to repeat it, especially in the first portion of the dvd. And I am still not quite sure how she does the study in the way she ask questions and then applies the bible to her life but it is worth purchasing.
I have read many books on prayer and this one seems to put everything out there to get you on your way for a closer walk with the Father. I also participated in the course as well which is a great study.
This is a really good Bible study when used with the videos. I have learned a lot about making my prayers more useful, and enjoying my prayer time more. If you take the time to pray, then give your prayers power! If you don't pray much, then this book will get you praying more.
This is an excellent book. It is a helpful tool when learning to discern truth and apply scripture and have a more powerful prayer life.
The study itself is a great study; however the guide is not needed. One could use a notebook instead because its the same format used for each of the scripture passages. I found the group questions were not terrific, and one could probably come up with his/her own questions.
My 4 stars is for the printing only. There are scattered parts in light blue ink which I can hardly see, gives me eye strain. I have already started the study with the 1st video so was really waiting on the study guide. So excited to get involved with learning to improve my prayer life.
Using the study guide with the videos was a great experience. I tried to do the questions on paper before the guide arrived & I didn't get as much out of it. Also, there is information in the guide that helps along the way while working on lessons.
