I love this book! The plays are deep and meaningful. Normally, my students would never want to read something so deep but since it is a play they are more motivated to do so. I like it a lot better than using novels because most of the plays are fairly short at least for 5th graders and up (They're about 10-20 pages long). This perfect for pulling lessons about story structure, characterizations, themes, and whatnot without having to read a full length novel or a lower level picture book.There is a lot to discuss in these plays. For example, we are reading The Ice Wolf in class today. This is a story about a little Eskimo girl who is rejected by her community because she looks different and was almost threw out in the snow to die by her own father. We were about to discuss the father's internal struggle to follow the ways of his people and the love of his own daughter with my 5th graders.Plays seem to be great motivators for my kids to read and discuss literature in a deeper way. These plays allow you do so in a 'just right' manner. You are putting the kids over their heads with Shakespeare or dumbing it down too much with other kiddie plays out there. I would recommend this for Intermediate/Upper Grades.

I thought it was a little heavy on the civil side compared to the criminal side of cases, considering that 99% of the people using the text are testifying in criminal court (IAI members testing for Module 4 Crime Scene Certification Board). Overall, I found it to be a useful book to add to the library as a quick reference for landmark cases and appreciated the differentiation of some of the fine nuances involved in the civil litigation side for those criminal forensic matter experts that occasionally find themselves involved in some sort of civil trial after the criminal issues have been resolved. The chapters were well organized and written, with the attempt to make a somewhat dry topic interesting to the reader, and propel the reader to continue on with their reading and digesting the material. A useful text in an area were there is not a lot of "short" texts available that the average reader will spend the time to read and learn the materials.

Studying outside USA, MY CHILD ACED THE AP !

Overall this book has helped me in class, don’t wait until the AP exam is right around the corner to pick it up. It’s got really good descriptions and elaborates on topics really well!

This book only has tactics for the AP Exam along with the practice exams and explanations. If you want a book that truly explains how each concept is applied with practice problems, I would recommend getting 5 steps to a 5. If you only want to practice doing the tests, then I would recommend this book.

Great tool to study for the exam! What I do every time I learn each topic is go through the book to see if the topic is there and review everything from the beginning. It really helps! If you really want a 5, maybe not rely on the practice tests here though they’re great.

It's a quick read at only 87 pages and divided up in small sections that make it easy to pick up and put down when the kids are yelling in your face. This book goes through exactly how Lindsay stepped up her game, decided she wanted to become a Momprenuer through network marketing, and exactly how she built a multi-million dollar business.She keeps her no-bullshit advice simple and to the point. I mean, it's what all of us mom's with small children need, right?One of my favorite quote from the book that I found 100% relatable was..."I've always been 'different.' I don't like regular mom stuff. I've never been the cool kid. I don't think like most women. I tend to go right when everyone else goes left, and sometimes that makes me feel lonely. I knew that if I felt a need to be something more than just a mom, there were probably other women who felt the same." (pg. 17) Thank you Lindsay for saying out loud what SO many moms feel.Â

Lindsay Teague Moreno's "Getting Noticed" has quickly become my "go to" instruction manual of sorts, on branding myself, growing my business, and getting results online. I always have it within reach. I have highlighted the book (in two colors), and underlined (in three colors!), with notes in the margins... there are THAT many important points. Lindsay gets right down to the nitty gritty, and does not dance around saying you could try doing your business this way or that way... she basically lays out exactly what you need to do. For me, Getting Noticed definitely shaved off weeks and months of a learning curve as well as plain old trial and error. I finally have the confidence and working knowledge for building my brand and my business on social media! Quick, powerful read! Thank you Lindsay, you're right... I ain't got time for that!

I have been following the business strategies of Lyndsay for about two years now. I knew that as soon as this book came out it would be a gold mine of information. I wasn't wrong. As a business owner, and mom, I am pretty certain this book was written with me in mind. Lyndsay writes like she is talking to you, her friend. She's cheeky, she's straight to the point, and literally gives you a blueprint on how to have a successful social media marketing strategy. Needless to say, I have not only recommended this book to any and all my friends who own businesses, but I have also purchased a few as gifts for some of my close mommy bosses.This will be a book I always keep on my desk and reference throughout the rest of my career.

This book is incredible. It was an easy read and gave me so many real, practical steps to take toward making what I do on social media count and toward becoming intentional and honest in order to reach more people. I highly recommend it to any aspiring author, blogger, direct sales rep, or a woman with a vision of something new and exciting that is beyond her wildest dreams.

First of all, this book was a short and easy read. I think that is important to say because as a momtrepreneur myself, ain't no one got time for long, boring books that you have to think about, process and analyze. Lindsay is short, sweet, to the point, and gives practical advice that is perfect for any mom of her own business. The book is also witty and had me chuckling in a few spots. I highlighted multiple parts and I can't wait to go back and read it again to figure out how I am going to use all the information. I am super grateful for this book and I can't wait to see how it blesses my own business.

I have finally finished reading Getting Noticed. I have tried for years to start small businesses...specifically home-based to try and have more freedom and flexibility. It seemed that I was still always gone or filling my house with people, but Lindsay Teague Moreno has been amazingly successful using social media to spread her knowledge. I didn't know this book existed until I read "Far North" by Will Hobbs. It's a kids' book about two teenagers and an old Nahanni Indian who get stranded in Deadmen's Valley after their plane crashes in the winter. The author mentioned that he fell in love with the Nahanni River area after reading R. M. Patterson's account of it--"The Dangerous River." Of course, I had to read the original, so I have now read it, and it was interesting seeing how Mr. Hobbs took lots of events in his fictional story out of Mr. Patterson's adventures. Mr. Patterson even mentions that he got the idea to go see the Nahanni region after reading an even earlier book. Maybe I'll have to check it out too.This isn't one of those books that I could sit down and read straight through. It's not a novel, but it does give background information about an unspoiled paradise in the far north--some of the few areas that remain unspoiled by human civilization. I liked the pictures of the area. When I try reading about it on the internet, there aren't that many sources of information. This book is probably the best.

I first read this book when I was 15, just before dropping out of school and thumbing to Alaska. I'd read many books by old explorers and trappers before taking off. This was one of the best. Have just reread it 50 years later. Kept me up all night. Thinking of taking off agsin....

One of the best books about long gone days when men were men and adventures were epic. Canoeing up an unexplored river In an unexplored wilderness; building a cabin and trapping through the winter; bone chilling cold, floods, fires and a land rich with game. A dream that can't be fulfilled in our day.

I was inspired by the scenery, the risks, the challenges, the weather, the independent attitude of Paterson. Traveling in his footsteps is on my bucket list.

Patterson lived along the Nahanni when the area was still wild and relatively unraveled. His descriptions of life at that time are excellent and provide us with a source of history that would otherwise be forgotten. This book is well worth reading to get both an idea of life in the Canadian north between 1927 and 1929. The book provides a good historical reference for the Nahanni and would be a good source of background information for anybody contemplating canoeing the river.

Dangerous River is a real adventure and I enjoyed it very much! There are not very many wild places on the planet to explore, this book takes you to one of these rare places. It makes me want to pack up and go!

A classic story of how men survived and thrived in the extremes of northern Canada in a time when wits and skill not gear were the difference between life and death

excellent.
