A well organized guide with interesting trip tips and information about each town in each area of Provance.

I did not like the formatting of the guide. The guide also does not cover what should be some major must sees, which was disappointing. I found the guide thin on details. I could go on, but I won't. Don't waste your time on this one, there are better guides out there.

good look at each little coastal town with hotels and restaurant. i was hoping for recommendations on traveling from town to town by foot ,bicycle or bus.

Complaint is of Petit Verdot restaurant in Aix en Provence. Highly recommended in 2010 edition. Found restaurant laughably bad. Waitress rude, portions ridiculously small. Veg tasteless. Service appaling. When complained (in french) waitress said everyone elses portions small so what was I complaining about. Highly unrecommend this rip off restaurant.Helpful hint. If visiting Unite d'habitation (le Corbusier's) amazing flat complex, guide fails to mention that if you ask at the reception, for 4 euros, you can have a personalised guide by an inhabitant of her flat. She has lived there 22 years and is very informative. Gives real insight into success of living experiment. Helpful if you speak french though.

Very weak on the content side, for a paperback. I did not want the Kindle version for travel convenience, and frankly it would be overpriced if you paid the digital cost. Content is simplistic, and seems like something that was developed for a blog. While there are ideas that seem interesting, too much of the 74 pages is spent on hyping side trips that seem to be hustling for a few tour operators. Even the interesting suggestions are not unique and can be retrieved with a hour or two of web surfing.While 74 pages isn't a lot to start with, the font size is quite large and the layout leaves too much white space. Overall the content could fit in 40 pages with some crisp editing. One major oversight is the lack of even simple, maps. There is no concept of distance, and this was most noticeable in the Sicily section (its not a small island).Overall I'd suggest readers pass on the book. Spending twice as much on other tour books will get you twenty times times the content.

I could have written this book myself and I haven't been to Malta!

I'm enthralled with GOA and so glad that Leanne is doing what she is doing. But I was disappointed in this book. It's written in a very simplistic style, and while the chapters have an inspirational message, the writing could have been a lot better. And I wish the death stories had not been at the end. I needed something more uplifting.I love the children's books, but a ghost writer could have improved this book a lot. Still glad I read it.

I LOVE this book. Goats of Anarchy is a little miracle I discovered while recovering from several surgeries for cancer. I have a special place in the majority of my heart for the world of special needs, the world of goats, and the world of animals in general. GOA makes me smile every day by seeing how goats with special needs get a second chance at life in such a wonderful environment with friends to romp around with and humans to watch over and love them. I cry at the sad times, when little loves pass on, and I laugh at the best times, when the little loves run around with each other on their playground. GOA and those that help make it run is nothing short of amazing. Goats with special needs is not a population one hears of often but it is one that needs to be brought into the light more and that is what this book does. This has become one of my favorite organizations and I am so glad I bought this book.

The volume covers current sample preparation for SEM and X-ray analysis. The range of topics covered is extensive, from the standard procedures to rather esoteric methods (see index in sample pages provided on Amazon). The various topics are quite extensively referenced, and this review of the previously published literature is the second main benefit of the volume. The writing is mostly clear and to the point, as would be expected from a scientific volume. This book is useful to have in the EM laboratory as a reference to explore preparation of new sample types, or to point new investigators to familiarize themselves with some options of sample preparation. It makes a good companion volume to Goldstein and the VP volume by Stokes (highly recommended).The author in parts is scientifically über-politically correct, to the point of being a hindrance. He likes to indicate temperature in Kelvin. Preparations to be carried out at 277K then actually refer to 4C, which would be the much more sensible way to talk about laboratory procedures. On the other hand, pressures are both indicated in Pascal as well as in non-SI Torr. Irritating, but can be dealt with by any scientist.The sources for equipment and supplies is quite useful, though the provider index in Microscopy and Analysis will be more current. I did miss Fine Science Tools in the tools section.The production of the volume can only be termed sloppy, and not fit for a Springer Verlag label. There are numerous instances where micro meters are not shown as mu-m but as mm (millimeters) or u-m. While such typos are immediately apparent to the seasoned microscopist, students could easily be confused. Mid-line hyphens, missing periods and alike should also have been taken care of. Many of the illustrations seem to be lifted from low resolution web-site images, with pixellation showing in print.

Don't let the French sounding name fool you. I've met this author a couple of years ago in Philadelphia and she brings together a fusion of flavors that make the old classic Cuban recipes come to life as well as some new `nuevo' items that will make your taste buds dance a mambo. Cuban Cocina - the tantalizing world of Cuban cooking - yesterday, today and tomorrow is written by Joyce LaFray and is a deceitful cookbook only because it contains about 250 pages filled with close to 500 recipes. The book begins with a section on the ingredients and techniques that will be used some of which are non-traditional. There is also an English to Spanish shopping list dictionary, although hard to read with the green color, it is fun and educational, let alone helpful. Some of the many recipes include: Cilantro Mayonnaise; Pickled Chicken, Havana Style; Marinated Fish with Cilantro; Fresh Conch and Lobster Seviche; Crispy Yuca Ham Croquettes; Lime Avocado Dip; Hearty Galician Soup; Yucassoise; Fried White Bean Cake; Cuban Rice; Marinated Garbanzos; Saffron Rice Salad; Baked Red Snapper with Garlic and Cumin; Grilled Swordfish with Mango and Blueberries; Plantain-Coated Fresh Fish; Sofrito Chicken; Oxtail with Peppers and Capers; Ginger Sherried Roasted Pork; Baked Calabaza Squash with Apples and Cheeses; Sweet Potato Pudding; Pineapple-Citrus Chutney; Pepper Corn Muffins; Banana Flan with Coconut Rum Sauce; Coconut Bars with Guava Jelly and a variety of beverages. The cookbook is well designed, not breaking the cardinal sin - No pages need to be turned to finish a recipe. Some of the ingredients are not readily available at all grocery stores, but should be from any Latin grocery store. For anyone that wish to add some terrific ethnic foods to their repertoire, Cuba Cocina is a great addition to the bookshelf.
